Call 2018 for Strategic Basic Research (SBO)

For researchers from the Flemish universities or other research institutions: the 2016 call for Strategic Basic Research was launched on 8 January 2018.

The SBO program is divided into two finality parts: an economic program component for projects with a primary economic finality and a social program component for projects with a primary social finality. 

The available budget for the SBO call 2018 amounts to approximately € 40 million. Two thirds of these funds are reserved for projects with a primary economic finality and one third for projects with a primary social finality. 

Deadline for submitting project proposals: 18 May 2018 at 5 pm
